Surry County History Online
Surry County Digital Heritage is a collaborative project started in 2018 with funding by a Library Services and Technology Grant from the State Library of North Carolina. The purpose is to preserve and share records related to the history of communities in Surry County, NC. The project is coordinated by the Surry Community College Library and partners include: Mount Airy Museum of Regional History, Northwestern Regional Library (incorporating branches in Elkin, Mount Airy, and Pilot Mountain), Surry County African American Historical and Genealogical Society, Surry County Genealogical Society, Surry County Historical Society, and Surry County Schools.
