Oliver who was a combat photographer with the 1st Infantry in the Vietnam War. Army Specialist Four George E. Oliver, 24 , son of Dr. and Mrs. Otis Oliver received the Arit Medal in Germany March 1. Spec. Oliver earned the award for combat aerial support of ground operations during his last assignment in Vietnam. Photographer with the 69th Signal Company, Spec. Oliver entered on active duty in April 1964 and arrived in Germany in October. He is a 1962 graduate of Mt. Airy High School.
