  Bill Roth Collection

  Items from Bill Roth including photographs of the Roth House in Elkin and two legal documents. The Roth House, built in the 1880s, is located on Terrace Avenue overlooking the railroad tracks and the river. The Roth House is the 4th oldest in Elkin. They are, in order: Randleman, Sanders, Galloway, Roth. Only the Roth family has ever lived in this house (2019). It was constructed in the 1890s. A bath and kitchen was added in 1911. A pool room was added in the 1950s and the upper porch was taken off in 1971. The kitchen was remodeled in 1990. A Roth brother built the Holly House and a Roth sister built the Harris house.
