History, photographs, and records from the Spencer's Infant's and Children's Wear company, founded in Mount Airy, NC. The company was founded on July 8, 1926 as Mount Airy Knitting Company, by W.E. Lindsay, John Banner, and J.H. Crossingham. F.L. Hatcher and G.C. Lovill later became partners in the business. The name was changed to Spencer's Infant's and Children's Wear in 1963, and local production closed in 2006.

Collection of items obtained by Ruby Hardy Stanley from the home of Daultfus "Dault" and Lucy Sawyer. Items include early school registration books and notes, reports and minutes from the AME Zion Church of Stony Ridge in Shoals, NC. The Sawyer homeplace was demolished in August of 2005. The items in this collection were donated to the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History in 2005.

Journal detailing the formation of the 59th Company of the North Carolina Reserve Militia in 1918. Includes constitution and by-laws, and member roster. The record book also includes a few diary entries from the 1930s and a list of the questions and answers for a driver's license exam. The majority of the book is ledger entries for an unknown business, which are not included in this scan.
