  Ararat School, The forerunner of the present Jones - North Main School consisted of 71 students, 3 teachers and a 4 room building, all of whom are shown here. Owners of the photo are Ernest McCloud, seated on the ground and Mrs. Gertrude Bowman McCloud, standing beside her sisters in second row, center. The sisters are wearing identical dresses. Miss Jessup a teacher, has her hand on Mrs. McCloud, who lived in Washington D.C., Mrs. Gracie Dyson on Wards Gap Road during the Christmas holidays.
