The collection contains cookbooks donated by Jerry Bowman to the Mount Airy Regional Museum in Mount Airy, North Carolina in memory and honor of his mother, Stella Poore Bowman. Some of the cookbooks highlight recipes of Mrs. Bowman. Mrs. Bowman was a Pink Lady at the hospital and considered a great cook. The collection is extensive, however most of the cookbooks are copyrighted. The ones posted on the surrydigital heritage site are not or permission has been granted from publisher to post the cookbooks. The cookbooks were created by churches or local civic organizations and many contain histories of the organization. To view the cookbooks not posted here please contact the museum.
