  Ledger book from the Mount Airy Fire Department, listing details of fire alarms and department response, from April 5, 1921 until January 6, 1927. Includes information on time of alarm, type of structure, cause of fire, names of firefighters responding, and any injuries or incidents.
  

• 1904-1919; First Book of MAFD (Mount Airy Fire Department)

  Earlist known book recording the activities of the Mount Airy Fire Department. Includes lists of department members and their attendance at meetings, receipts for department expenses, and records of how many fires were reported and fought, and minutes of regular meetings. This book also includes an account of the first fire attended by the newly formed Mount Airy Hose Company as well as their constitution and by-laws. *NOTE* Blank pages were not scanned. A loose receipt was found in the pages of the book, it is included at the end of the PDF.
  

• Record Book- 1914-1916 (Mount Airy Fire Department)

  Leather bound record book with minutes of meetings from 1914-1916. Ledger of goods purchased from local companies. Pages are watermarked Manhattan Ledger". Book has 288 pages total but most are blank. NOTE- Blank pages are not included. Ledger also had three loose receipts tucked inside.
