Nora operated a café on Needmore (Virginia) Street in the mid 1940s. $1.25 bought a meal consisting of meat; two vegetables; dessert; bread; and a drink. Nora cooked for First Presbyterian Church functions; Reeves Community Center; Doe Run Lodge and Mary Bennett. Nora was first married to Powell Ousley and then James Glover.
